The Game!
On 9/19/24 you will be getting an email from Backerkit. This email will have the following:

On another note...
I want to make you aware of another campaign that's going on right now. It's being run by a long-time friend of mine and it looks really fun! Please consider giving it some love!
That game is called Shuffle Dungeons and it's a cooperative dungeon crawling board game for 1-4 players. Heroes begin in separate rooms on the outskirts of the dungeon and must build their path to each other. Along the way, you will find powerful weapons and armor, as well as dangerous monsters. You will need to work together and build a path to the center where the Dungeon Boss lies in wait. Only by defeating the Boss will the heroes escape the dungeon and be victorious!
Key Features:
Infinite Dungeons: Build the dungeon as it is explored, making every dungeon unique. A carefully placed room could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Endless Choices: Each dungeon card is double-sided, making players choose between playing a room in the dungeon or adding powerful equipment to their hero. Making the correct choice can mean the difference between victory and defeat!
Cooperative Gameplay: The dungeon is too dangerous for a lone adventurer, and players must work as a team to survive. Select from one of eight different heroes and strategize as a team how to defeat the dungeon.

Hey everyone!
Well, things have been very very busy over the last month! The team and beta testers have been beating this beast to death! Lots of bugs have been squashed as we continue testing and polishing the game but we're finally near the finish line! Here are some details!
The release date is September 19!
You will be receiving the digital keys and goodies before then.
You will be getting an email from Backerkit confirming your physical address for physical goods this week.
Physical goods are nearly ready to go - the only thing we are waiting on is the printer for the 60 page Strategy guide.
That's pretty much it! We're a bit tired but super-pumped about the release!

Hey everyone!
I hope you're having a great summer! I'm going to do the update today as we are getting so close and I wanted to share my thoughts on where we are at!
Game
A few weeks ago as the team was making their final pass at the beta version, I made mine, providing the developers with a decent amount of feedback as well as giving it my stamp of approval. What a lovely, massive game it is! While some of my feedback was various bugs, the majority was confirming that there are sufficient hints hidden throughout the game for each puzzle. I also asked for a few changes to the ending to punch it up a bit! Playing through took me around 7 hours and I'm super impressed with the quality of the game, the side quests into the worlds of Deja Vu, Uninvited and the Mines of Mythrok! Since I made the original Shadowgate, I can honestly say that this is my favorite version since the NES came out in '89!
While we were testing, the team came up with another idea (Feature Creep alert!) and added a final feature - A dev commentary option. This option will be available after completing the game (as to not give anything away!) When turned on, an icon appears on the HUD when that room has an interesting dev story. Clicking on it will reveal some behind the scenes info, funny bugs, cut content and other insights.
Now, all that said, the game now moves to a final testing cycle on Steam! Based on our testing so far, I don't anticipate this will take too long (fingers crossed!)
Rewards
Strategy Guide - We are reviewing and making final changes to the Strat Guide. As you can guess, it's quite huge. That should be this week and then it goes off to the printers!
Everything Else - All other rewards are finished (digital) or manufactured/built (physical).

Hey everyone! Here's the latest from Christian, our fab designer/producer!
Happy June to our backers! Please wishlist us on Steam and GoG and join our discord community for more frequent updates.
The final rooms of Beyond Shadowgate have been programmed, and we are working on the endings! The achievement system has been implemented, and there are currently 30+ achievements to unlock. We are continuing our polish phase and are rapidly approaching beta testing.
The rest of the roadmap is as follows:
Finalize the hint system
Final sound effects pass
Refine the Save/Load system
Implement Steamworks integration
Beta Testing
Although we’ve made progress, there is still a lot of work to do. The save system will need to be tested thoroughly to ensure functionality. For instance, taking an item will require us to save, quit, and load to verify the item remains in the inventory. We will need to do the same for the story events in the game. With over 100 items and 240 rooms to test, this will be a time-consuming process.
We hope our thorough testing during development will minimize the amount of bugs we discover during the beta phase. It’s been a long road, but we are approaching the end of the adventure!!
This also means that the strategy guide is almost complete so now we are just checking for typos and such and will send to the printer once we finalize the endings!
